Following on from last weeks newsletter, I wanted to stay in the bedroom and look at cool and quirky bedside tables. Generally bedside tables are seen as a very practical piece of furniture, but they don’t have to be. There is a great opportunity to do something really fun and interesting, instead of playing it safe.
Here are some fun and creative bedside tables that we have come across:
Now if you don’t have the time or inclination for a DIY project, then here are some fab bedside tables available off the shelf.
Also from Made.com the Ledger Table and the Contrast Table. While these are veering into a more traditional style table, there is a still a lovely design element to both of them. We particularly like the Contract table with the introduction of metal.
CB2 is an American based online store which is the sister company Crate and Barrel, for those of you familiar with it. They have oodles of interesting and colourful furniture and accessories, so well worth checking out. Oh, and they ship to Ireland.
Here are some of their fab bedside tables, which is your favourite:
Westelm are also an American online store, although they do have retail stores across America, Canada, Australia and Europe including a gorgeous store on Tottenham Court Rd in London. Their funriture is not quite as quirky as CB2, but they have some really amazing pieces.
Here are our favourite’s:
We love the retro feel of the above side tables, the Acorn Table (left) and the Tall Storage Table (right are just 2 of the beautiful vintage inspired bedside tables on offer.
The Alternate Table (above left) and the Rustic Storage Table (above right) are a little bit more classic but the introduction of metal gives them an edgy feel.
If you are looking for something that’s not too out there in relation to colour and style, but you would still like something a bit different then, the Patchwork Table (above left) or the Parquetry Table (above right) could be the answer. They are beautifully designed and very practical (if that’s what you are looking for….. )
Online shopping is becoming increasingly popular, but there are still quite a few of you that are nervous, and that’s totally understandable. Always do a bit of research on the company before you purchase and check out independent reviews.
