Pantone’s Colour Predictions For 2017, Part 2

Good Morning!

Following on from our newsletter a few weeks ago, we want to look part 2 of Pantone’s colour palette predictions for 2017. We are not convinced about all of their predictions, but we think that they really hit the nail on the head with some of them.

Here are the next 3 palettes:

Florabundant

This palette is all about lavish and lush hues, with a prediction for large scale floral patterns. Pink Yarrow, Chrysanthemum, Red Dahlia and Baton Rouge red, are among the colours that will dominate this palette.

Forest Bathing

Forest Bathing, is probably the closest prediction to the “Colour of the Year.” It is a direct translation of the Japanese practice of “Shinrin-yoku” — requires a connection with nature. Green and blue-greens dominate alongside accents of Grape Kiss and Acid Lime.

Acquired Taste

We think that adventurous is a better title, as opposed to acquired taste. This palette is bold and exciting, with texture playing as big a part, as the warm tones that span the range between orange and red. Colours such as Orange Chiffon, Amberlight, Etruscan Red, Mulberry and Brandied Melon are rounded out with Pale Gold accents.

In our next newsletter, we’ll be taking a look at the final 3 palettes, Raw Materials, Graphic Imprints and Reminiscence. Can you figure out what these palettes will have in store?
